I liiiiiiiive!!!!

I’ve seriously been off the map lately though… At the end of June, I went camping with Ben in the Adirondacks for a week and then up to Canada for his brother’s wedding. We had an AMAZING time and I was forced to abandon my phone and the internet for the entirety of the vacation. When we got back, I kind of just carried on that way!

SO. The Adirondacks. It rained pretty much the whole damn time, but at least the inside of our tent stayed dry. We did have two GORGEOUS days though; Ben and I spent the first one at the water park and the second one on a loooong kayak ride up the Moose River. I also somehow managed to get a fire going every night in the rain; not sure whether I was better at starting fires or bragging about starting fires though ahaha :P

Canada was amazing too; the wedding was in 1000 Islands at the bride’s (her name is Dominique, btw) parents house and the property was SOO beautiful. It’s right on one of the islands and they had a pool, tennis court, and a huuuuuge yard. Dominique’s brother also took us out on their motor boat riding around the islands which was freakin’ awesome. The day of the wedding was perfect weather too. Perfect vaca all around <3

I’ve had major computer malfunction drama though; the fan went in my awesome new laptop that I JUST got in February (signs that I’m on it a little too much?). Or at least, I thought it did. Right before I went on vaca I went to start it up and it was giving me an error saying that the fan wasn’t working anymore, so I’d just shut it down ’cause I didn’t want to overheat it. When I got back, I didn’t bother trying to start it up again and ended up getting ahold of HP tech support and since it’s still under warranty they told me I could send it to them and they’d fix it for free. They asked me what the error was saying so I was all ‘okay hold up’ and I went to start it.. Uhhh… No error, fan was working again, everything was fine. They told me I should probably send it in anyway though since it is under warranty and the fan is probably gonna take another crap soon if it did before. Blah blah blah. You’re a geek too if you actually read that whole paragraph.

So now that I’m finally back on the internet again, look forward to some updates <3

OMG PORTFOLIO March 9th, 2011

I bought the domain ciaracable.com like… uhm… 2, 3 years ago? And I’ve FINALLY done something with it 8D

It’s my personal portfolio/moderately professional site. I’m still deciding on what exactly will qualify as a blog worthy of that domain vs this one, but whatevs. It’s mostly done, it’s functional, and it’s preeeeettyyyyy. Ironically, what I thought would be the easiest and most fun part of the whole project turned out to be the most difficult and pain in the ass part – organizing my pixels. Holy crap that took me like a week, no joke. I couldn’t decide how I wanted to sort them and then how I wanted to display them. Arrrg I must’ve tested like 20 different ways before I was… well I can’t use the word satisfied ’cause I still look at it and think “…well, that’ll do.”

So go, check it out, favorite it, bookmark it, put it in your bookmarks toolbar, link it on your site, visit it daily, sign up for the RSS feed, link it on your devArt page, make it your homepage when you launch your browser, have updates sent to your phone, make it your background image on your phone, text your friends about it, text your mom about it, oh go ahead; text your whole family about it I don’t mind, link it in your signature on forums, link it in your signature in e-mails, make a shortcut on your desktop, daydream about it, talk about it incessantly, write blogs about it….

//end shameless plug. Check out my portfolio.

First off, add me on your tumblr and twitter:

OMGGG I’m taking a class on Adobe Illustrator! Loving it, and already feeling inspired :] I made my first couple attempts at vectors and came up with these…

Not very original, but I had fun making them!

Neeew layout :D :D

I worked SO hard on this and I ended up finishing it a lot sooner than I thought! I still have a lot of maintenance to do on the subpages, but I couldn’t wait any longer :] If anyone spots any major inconsistencies, leave me a comment and I’ll put it at the top of my to-do list!

Everyone enjoy :D
